Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Ramble ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Ramble is a voice note processing service that:

• Transcribes audio recordings using AI-powered speech recognition
• Organizes transcripts into structured sections with detected topics and tags
• Provides a web-based interface to view, search, and export your processed voice notes

Service Limitations: AI transcription and organization are not perfect. Transcripts may contain errors, especially with accents, background noise, or technical terminology. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy.

3. Account Requirements

To use Ramble, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian consent if you are a minor
• Provide a valid email address
• Link a Telegram account to submit voice notes
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscription Plans and Pricing

Free Tier

• 50 minutes of audio processing per month
• Usage resets on the first day of each calendar month
• All core features included

Premium Tier

• $8 USD per month, billed monthly
• Unlimited audio processing
• All features included
• Cancel anytime

Billing

• Payment processing is handled by Polar.sh (our Merchant of Record)
• Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled
• Pricing is subject to change with 30 days notice
• Polar.sh handles all billing, invoices, and tax collection

5. Refund Policy

Refunds are available within 30 days of purchase at our discretion. To request a refund, contact aj.gonzalez.dev@gmail.com with your reason.

Note: Polar.sh (our payment processor) reserves the right to issue refunds within 60 days of purchase for chargeback prevention, regardless of our stated policy.

Transaction fees are non-refundable.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Not upload content that infringes on third-party rights (copyright, privacy, etc.)
• Not upload illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable content
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or abuse the Service
• Not use automated systems to spam or overload the Service

You are solely responsible for the content you submit. Nothing you upload is shared publicly by default. We do not monitor content proactively.

7. Content Ownership and License

You Own Your Content: You retain all rights to your voice notes, transcripts, and organized sections.

License to Us: By using Ramble, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

AI Processing: Your content is processed by third-party AI services (OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI) as described in our Privacy Policy. These services process your data temporarily but do not store it.

8. Content Moderation and Termination

We reserve the right to:

• Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Remove content that violates laws or our policies
• Cooperate with law enforcement requests
• Terminate the Service at any time with reasonable notice

We do not proactively monitor content. If we receive a legal request (DMCA notice, law enforcement subpoena, etc.), we will comply as required by law.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the Ramble app. When you delete your account:

• You will be asked to confirm deletion with a 30-second timeout to prevent accidental deletion
• You will have the option to export your data before deletion
• All your data (transcripts, sessions, account info) will be permanently deleted
• Active subscriptions will be canceled (no pro-rated refunds unless within our 30-day refund window)

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accuracy or reliability of transcriptions
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Security of your data (though we implement reasonable measures)
• Fitness for any particular purpose

Use at Your Own Risk: AI transcription is imperfect. Do not rely on Ramble for critical, medical, legal, or safety-sensitive applications.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Errors or inaccuracies in transcripts
• Loss of data due to technical failures, third-party service outages, or account deletion
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS LESS.

12. Third-Party Services

Ramble integrates with third-party services (Telegram, OpenRouter, Polar.sh, etc.). We are not responsible for:

• The availability, privacy practices, or terms of these services
• Issues arising from your use of these services
• Changes or discontinuation of these services

Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ramble, its operator, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Content you submit
• Your violation of any third-party rights

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mexico.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Ramble app.

Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
